Masked Truth....

Have you ever met someone who seemed like a true friend, only to later realize they were wearing a mask? Some people appear to be different on the outside, but deep inside, they are not what they express. They enter your life, pretend to be your closest friend, and make you feel like you are the only one they trust. But the truth? You are just one of many. They share only what they want to, revealing just enough to keep the illusion alive.

I, too, have encountered such people in my life.

The sad part?

I never tried to see their real faces until it was too late. I opened up, shared almost everything with them, believing in a bond that never truly existed. And in return? Regret. Disappointment. A realization that they were never who they pretended to be.

The Harsh Reality of Trust in a Competitive World

In today’s world, where competition is fierce, finding a genuine friend is rare. Most people are too focused on their own success, their own hustle, their own climb to the top. And while I understand the importance of a side hustle—something that drives us toward success—I also believe in the value of keeping well-wishers close. A real friend is someone who cares about not just their future but yours too.

But how often do we find such people?

Almost never.

When Helping Others Leads to Disappointment

It’s frustrating when you genuinely try to help someone, support their dreams, and contribute to their success, only to receive nothing in return. Not even gratitude. Just silence. Maybe this is how the world works now. Maybe trust should be earned, not freely given.

The Lesson I Learned Today

Today, I learned a valuable lesson: keep your side hustle private until it’s strong enough to make noise on its own. Work in silence. Focus on your growth. Share your wins wisely. Not everyone deserves to know your journey—

some are just here to watch, not support.

At the end of the day, trust is precious. Give it to those who truly deserve it. And when it comes to your hustle, let your success do the talking.
